FACULTY SENATE RESOLUTION 2005-2006:06 Duties of the Membership
Secretary
WHEREAS the
Membership Secretary keeps the Faculty Senate's membership lists, including the
information about when each member's term begins and ends, and
WHEREAS the
Membership Secretary maintains and updates the membership lists for the
University Planning Council, the University Tenure and Promotion Committee, and
the Faculty Grievance Committee, and
WHEREAS the
Membership Secretary already serves as a liaison to the Nominations and
Elections Committee, and
WHEREAS the work
of the committee would be facilitated of the Membership Secretary were an ex
officio member of the Nominations and Elections Committee;
BE IT
THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT Article II, Section 1, Part 4 of the Bylaws be
amended to add "Serve as an ex officio member of the Nominations and
Elections Committee" as one of the duties of the Membership Secretary.
