Whereas the Southeastern Louisiana University Women’s Tennis Team
achieved 19 wins and only 7 losses, including an 11- match winning streak, in
the 2004-2005 season; and Whereas under the leadership of Coach Jason Hayes, the Lady Lions
won the championship of the Southland Conference Tournament, earning
Southeastern a berth in the NCAA Tournament; and Whereas the Lady Lions team, with five freshmen and one senior,
gave 16th ranked Tulane a run for the money during the first-round
of the NCAA tournament; and Whereas these outstanding achievements have brought great pride to
Southeastern and the surrounding community Be it therefore resolved that the Faculty Senate congratulates
all the members of the Southeastern Louisiana University Women’s Tennis Team
for their accomplishments during the 2004 - 2005 tennis season.
