FACULTY SENATE RESOLUTION 03-04-10:

ALUMNI PARKING TAGS

Whereas the Alumni Association has been issuing special alumni parking tags to alumni who are current students as well;

Whereas it has come to the attention of the Faculty Senate that many students have taken advantage of the Alumni parking tags, contributing to the problem of students parking in Faculty and Staff lots;

be it therefore resolved that the Faculty Senate recommend that the University Police should immediately cross-check Alumni parking tag holders with the student database, in order to ensure that no currently enrolled students receive Alumni parking tags; and

be it therefore FURTHER resolved that the Faculty Senate request that the Alumni Association should discontinue the practice of issuing any complimentary alumni parking tags (to non-Alumni Association members), as this only encourages disrespect of the University's parking regulations.
