FACULTY SENATE RESOLUTION 03-04-09:

PARKING DOWN

Whereas the Faculty Senate has discussed the persistent problem of students parking or "standing" in Faculty and Staff lots; and

Whereas this causes faculty members to be unable to park, and if they cannot park, they face two unpleasant options - the prospect of having to violate the parking regulations themselves or inconveniencing their students through their unavailability; and

Whereas the Faculty Senate has discussed the issue of "parking down," or the ability of faculty and staff to park in student lots, as a partial remedy to this problem;

be it therefore resolved that the Administration amend the parking regulations to allow the practice of parking down by faculty and staff.
