WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors of the University of Louisiana System has adopted a policy which permits its member universities to adopt a sick leave pool for unclassified staff and faculty;

WHEREAS part of the procedure requires the faculty to request the implementation of a sick leave pool on each campus;

WHEREAS at its November 2000 meeting the SLU Faculty Senate approved a motion requesting the implementation of a shared sick leave pool by SLU's administration;

NOW BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT the Faculty Senate of Southeastern Louisiana University hereby request its administration to enact such a sick leave plan on this campus consistent with the rules and regulations of the BOS policy.
