Southeastern Louisiana University Faculty Senate
RESOLUTION 01-02-3: TEXTBOOK RENTAL SYSTEM
Adopted November 7, 2001

WHEREAS the current textbook rental system is greatly appreciated by the
students at Southeastern Louisiana University, and

WHEREAS the current textbook rental system contains certain apparent flaws, and

WHEREAS the correction of these flaws would provide an improvement to the
educational atmosphere at Southeastern Louisiana University;

NOW BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT the Faculty Senate recommend that the
administration continue to work to improve the management information
system within the textbook rental system;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Textbook Rental staff and departments
continue to improve communication in order to alleviate unnecessary
problems;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the textbook rental system investigate ways in
which ancillary materials, such as CDs, videos, etc., can be distributed
through their system;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the textbook rental system automatically
provide to the Document Source copies of appropriate chapters of textbooks
for which shortages are anticipated, for duplication and distribution to
students.
